“A simple search on Google for “Digital Marketing Trends 2020” will take you to articles from the end of 2019 and January last year that predicted 2020 was going to be the year that small businesses started to embrace Voice Search. Thanks to the lockdowns, government-enforced restrictions, and also fears of infection, we witnessed an exodus from the high street and a mass influx of customers online. It has been estimated that a shift to customers engaging with E-Commerce accelerated by 5 years in 2020, a switch that looks like it is here to stay. Businesses that were already online with a strong presence and E-Commerce have done quite well out of the pandemic. Others still have some work to do.”
